My brother, there is a plugin type called "limiter" in the audio section of your editing software. There are many fancy ways to use them and lots of fancy versions of them, but a very basic one applied to the main output would get rid of the crackling sound that results from "clipping" - going louder than the maximum possible volume and cutting off parts of the sound waves.
